[폐수처리] 슬러지 탈수 기술에 전하측정법의 적용

아래 논문은Technical Univ. of Kothen의 Dr. P. Ay & A. Hemme & K. Pflug 과 Muetek사의 Dr. R. Nitzsche가 공동연구 발표한 것으로 슬러지 탈수 기술에 있어서 하전상태 측정에 대한 것이다.
구성물질과 발생지가 다양한 폐수를 처리하는 문제는 증가하고 있는 최적의 탈수 및 폐기방법에 대한 요구사항들과 관계가 있다. 중요한 것은 조절 및 탈수 단계에서 직접적이고 효과적인 조치를 취하는 것뿐만 아니라 변화하고 있는 시스템조건에 대응할 수 있는 방법들을 찾는 것이다. 수많은 인자를 고려해야하기 때문에 상관관계를 통하여 단일화를 시킬 필요가 있다. 아래 논문에서는 슬러지의 특성을 측정하는 데 입자전하측정기를 적용하는 것에 대해 설명한다. 또한, conditioning agent를 적절히 이용한 측정을 통하여 조절 및 탈수 단계의 효과에 대한 관계성을 조사하였다. 그리고 조절 및 탈수 공정을 제어하기 위하여 흐름전위 측정원리를 이용할 수 있는 것에 대하여 거론하고 있다.

SUMMARY
The problem for processing of suspensions of many origins and compositions is related to the growing requirement for an optimum dewatering and disposal strategy. It is important to find methods for which enable both a reaction to changing system conditions as well as a direct and effective action on the conditioning and dewatering stage. Since a large number of factors must be considered, it is necessary to achieve a simplification through correlations. As part of the paper presented here, the implementation of a streaming current meter(PCD 02) for the characterization of sludge conditions is discussed. Also investigated were the implications in reference to the effectiveness of conditioning and dewatering stages through measurement of the optimum utilization of conditioning agent. Preliminary proposals for possibilities of the utilization of conditioning agent. Preliminary proposals for possibilities of the utilization of this measuring principle for controlling the conditioning and dewatering process are discussed.

1. INTRODUCTION
Almost all sludges occurring in mineral processing, the dewatering stage is involved with extremely energy-intensive processes, whereby a conditioning is unavoidable. A very widespread process is the chemical conditioning with flocculants resp. agents.
Unfortunately in the practice it frequently still occurs that both the selection of conditioning agents as well as the processing configuration of conditioning systems takes place according to just one single serie to tests. It remains unnoticed that changing sludge conditioning systems resp. concentrations, to maintain the dewatering result as constant as possible according to the respective disposal concept. The necessity to react dynamically to changed sludge conditions wil become an inevitable requirement in the foreseeable future.
The objective of the conducted investigations is above all to accomplish an optimization of the dewatering stage in close connection with the conditioning stage and the respective sludge composition. This requires an exact knowledge of the initial conditions.
However, since it is impossible here to consider all prevailing factors, what matters is to use relevant correlations to obtain a circumscription of the parameters to be optimized and to apply suitable methods of measurement.

7. OUTLOOK
The optimization of dewatering staes requires a complex procedure owing the high number of partially interdependent parameters. For this reason, an exact knowledge of correlations between the optimization costs. Here a useful selection of suitable measuring methods also plays an important role. Investigations demonstrate that the application of a streaming current meter could be interesting for the process control of conditioning stages. This wil require continued intensive investigations. An examination of the applicatin of this control device in flocculation and dewatering technology endures is still to be made.
